most of the lists at heat 2 were variations on mech, the most common being marines/wolves with 2 landraiders. There wasa also a couple of air cav armies and most ork armies were either nob biker armies or had 2 battlewagons.

not necessarily, footsloggers are still good, especially the horde based armies, the armies that were at the GT would struggle to deal with a geanstealer or ork horde, they do not have the effective firepower to deal with 80+ models.
