Well... I know i'm nowhere near as good as the power painters in the shop, but i try my little heart out, so i thought i'd join the blogging action...

I've already painted a zillion pounds worth of Cygnar, so will just display my latest.

Fresh off the table is little Lexie, yet another mounted queen... She got several layers of highlight and two layers of flock.  I've tried harder with her than any model to date!

Comments and advice welcome, i'm sure the model will be in the shop in battle soon enough!

Nice work mate!

The armour looks a bit bright in the pic, could maybe do with a black wash? (unless of course your aiming for bright armour Smiley )

She may get a little darkening at some point... But for now, she's invested in brand new gear to celebrate the longest night Tongue

Well... Nemo... I hate that model... Hate even thinking about painting him...

His painting difficulty means i feel no synergy with him on the battlefield...

But... I got the little monkey basecoated!  Just need to find his arms now!

Feeling a kind of Catharsis now he's painted... He's been nagging in the back of my mind for weeks...

The rest of my army, in contrast, I'm feeling a lot of cathexis!

Well, having finished the scrapheap tournament at 3pm, I've spent the evening in my room getting high on glue fumes and spraypaint fumes, as I endeavour to prep everything I bought on Friday.

Friday's purchases were 1 No. Cyclone, 1 No. pKraye, 1 Unit of Rangers, and 1 Unit of Mechaniks...

They are all now glued together, and spraypainted...  I'm now waiting for stupid slow drying black undercoat to take, so that I can crack on with my blue foundation paint Smiley

Pictures to follow once I have something colourful to post!

Went on an epic painting spree this weekend, as I'm not feeling too well...  Fully painted Kraye, Mechaniks, Rangers, and Cyclone in preperation for Iron King, and also made a start on my new gun mages, and Sloan.

Over the Christmas period, I've made a real effort to get everything base coated and based, in preparation for Iron King......

2 Units of ATGM, their UA, two ATGM solos, a Defender, Sloan, and Thunderhead all basecoated, and most of them flocked also.

I also got my newest caster (thanks Matt and Hannah) Connie Blaize base coated.  Thunderhead and Blaize were the hardest two models I've painted to date.

Thunderhead has a LOT of electric generators, all close together and required a lot of patience.  Blaize also reuqired patience and coordination, as she has a lot of gold relief on her white armour...

Thunderhead

In the last few days, I've managed to get a unit of 10 Precursor Knight, and Runewood painted and based.

Knights are tricky, because they have 2 thin blue lined running across their front cloak, but no recess or guides on the model.  I'm not great at painting even straight lines, so I haven't done it justice.

I used 3 different shades of grey, Mithril for plate armour, Chainmail for the chainmail, and Boltgun Metal for shields and maces.  I don't think you can really tell though!

Precursors are an amazing unit for Cygnar, and I can see them becoming my most played melee unit!
