Kinetics are amazing against this deck, although their are many cards that can shut them down. If you can stop the Face-up Backrows you can  really slow this deck down

Spell shattering arrow
Necrovalley
Dust Tornado
Intercept Wave (chained with something else)
Book of Moons to stop Synchros
Royal Oppression
Puppet Plant
etcetcetc

Hi guys. Long time since I posted anything so its good to be back. Right for the last few days I have been testing against Chris's full new Samurai deck. I am using Plant Synchro at present. For the first few days I could not get a game against it constantly being beaten in two or three turns. However over the weekend we had several test matches and I won nearly all of them. I have learnt very quickly how powerful this Samurai deck is but it is beatable. The tech I am using in my side deck for them is 2 x Thunder King, 2 x Spell Shattering Arrow, 2 x Needle Ceiling and 2 x Divine Wrath. So far I have found that the best way to beat the deck is to stop the first summon each turn as much as possible as this prevents the swarm. For this I run 2 x Solemn Warning, 1 x solemn Judgment, Torrential Tribute and 2 x Bottomless Trap Hole. I have also found that it pays to keep taking out the Samurai Mizuho which can send another Samurai to destroy a card on your side of the field. If you can stop this combo going off it is a great help. Also I have found Stardust Dragon, Colossal Fighter and Catastor to be cards that seriously hamper the Samurai Deck and they can hold the field for a while to allow you to set up more combos. Basically if you can survive the first 2 to 3 turns against the Samurai deck you have a good chance as the Samurais use most of the hand straight away and if you can take out the Gateways and Six Samurai United -if they run it - then they are left virtually topdecking which gives you a chance to gain control. Make no mistake though the Samurai deck is an awesome set up and has some really good support spells and traps so it is by no means easy to beat. Hope these ideas help. Cheers - Neil.

i may play puppet plan (discards itself and takes control of a warrior) shame it has 1k attack but its really useful to steal and synch. or even thinking about the swarming capabilities i mich throw in 3 lv into my deck with scatter shot with 3 royal firestorm guards just to continuous recycle the destructive power inflicting 1.5k dmg to the opponent keep stacking it up does help loads maybe chucking debris into my volcanics with dandy and trooper Cheesy, another idea for people is to run chain burn which may do something remarkable in this meta

well another 2 matches down for the six sams... kinetics dont work nor does gozen match, the burn deck would need to win in two or three turns and gorz you can power over using gateways first effect, any killer cards can be negated by the magatami trap card :L

I played Glad Beasts today against Sams and other then a topped Monster Reborn I would have had Mr.Pook 2-1. I think people are over-estimating Sams Power. Yes they are good but they are not undefeatable Solemn Warnings used right and well placed MSTs can be enough to finish off the deck imo

Hi guys. After speaking to Vinnie I realise that I have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing the new Samurai Synchro. I think it would pay to max out on Book of Moon as I find the best way to stop a Synchro is to book the Tuner if you dont have Warnings down of course. Like Vinnie said the Samurai deck is awesome but not totally unbeatable and I am sure many more counters to the deck will be found yet. Cheers - Neil.
